Teriyaki Beef Skewers
Teriyaki Beef Skewers are a delicious and easy-to-make dish, perfect for grilling during the summer or for a quick weeknight dinner. These skewers feature tender beef marinated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for grilling)
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Marinate the Beef: Place the beef cubes in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the beef. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for better flavor.
- Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C). If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
- Thread the Beef onto Skewers: Remove the beef from the marinade and thread it onto the skewers. Discard the marinade or reserve it for basting while grilling.
- Grill the Skewers: Brush the grill with vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness. Baste with reserved marinade during grilling, if desired.
- Garnish and Serve: Once the beef is cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Enjoy your Teriyaki Beef Skewers with a side of steamed rice, grilled vegetables, or a refreshing salad for a complete meal. Perfect for your next BBQ or dinner gathering!
